Paid Academic Program

Academic departmental site licenses of current version VisSim products are available to accredited educational institutions. The cost is 2 times a single seat commercial license. Academic site licenses provide unlimited use of VisSim by all students and faculty. All VisSim products are available under the paid academic site license. VisSim single seat and classroom licenses are also available at near 90% discount for a single seat, with additional 45% classroom discounts starting at 10 seats. Contact us for a price list.

Eligibility

This program is available to students and teachers. Proof of current membership in an accredited academic institution is required. Send us a scan of your student ID, or copy of your course schedule via our contact form or fax (978-692-3102). Please include the school, department, course, and software desired. The letter must also state that the software is being used for non-profit activities. Upon validation of the information, Visual Solutions will approve the purchase.

Free Academic Program

This program provides for unlimited use of VisSim version 3.0 by all members of an approved academic institution. It is available to departments of accredited educational institutions that develop a modeling and simulation curriculum using VisSim.

Eligibility

A professor from the academic department must send a letter to the attention of the VisSim Academic Program via our contact form or fax (978-692-3102) identifying the school, department, specifics of the training program, software required and delivery information. The letter must also state that the software is being used for non-profit activities. Upon validation of the information, Visual Solutions will grant the requested license. Please note that these programs may not be available in all countries.

Free Departmental Site Licenses Include:

• A one year license to operate the software on an unlimited number of machines in the department. The free license for the VisSim Academic Package will be renewed at no charge simply by registering for a license extension at the termination of the first year license.
• All department faculty members and students enrolled in the VisSim training program may make copies of the software for personal use on- or off-campus.
• Technical support is available to faculty members only by email to: support@vissol.com. Questions will be answered on a time-available basis.
• Software delivered under this program will not be updated, upgraded or otherwise maintained by VSI. The academic institute may, however, upgrade to the most current version of the software (Version 7).
