A problem!

For some reason the X-axis on the diagram doesn't go beyond 10sec. how do i resolve this?

Most likely you have fixed plot bounds. In your plot block, bring up the properties dialog box, the first checkbox is "Fixed Bounds". It must be unchecked.

Another possible cause can be the simulation configured to run for 10 seconds. In the menu, go to System > System Properties and chnge the End value.

You're the best! it was the latter case! Changed the end value and now it's working just fine. :)
