Compile problems with F28335

When I try to compile any VisSim file (Tools > Code Gen... > Compile...) I get this problem (there is no .out file generated):
... lots of DOS text ...
'lnk2000' n'est pas reconnu en tant que commande interne ou externe, un programme exécutable ou un fichier de commandes.
Can you help?

Re: Compile problems with F28335

Always be sure that you install Code Composer Studio (CCS) before installing VisSim/Embedded Controls Developer. The VisSim install will look in the registry to see where CCS has put the C2000 compiler and configure the compiling environment. Reinstall VisSim if you update the CCS compiler (or edit the file \vissim70\dosrun32.bat to point to the new compiler). The CCS v3.3 CD that originally came with the eZdsp F28335 was missing path setup for the C2000. The message "'lnk2000' is not recognized as an internal or external command" is usually caused by this. To fix it you must download the latest CCS service pack.

If you have an F28335 and get the following error message when compiling for the F2833x target “Unknown compiler option ‘--float_support=fpu32’” you need to update your CCS C2000 compiler.
Here are the steps:

  1. Launch CCS v3.3
  2. Click Help => Update Advisor => Check for Updates.
  3. You will have to create an Account before the TI site allows access to the Downloads section.
  4. Once registered, you will be re-directed to an Available Updates page for CCS v3.3. Download and install the following:

- CCSv3.3 Service Release 10 (or higher), and
- C2000 Code Generation Tools
Use this link to get the latest version of the TI v5.0 C2000 Code Generation Tools with the floating point updates:, and download the “C2000 Code Generation Tools v5.0.2” or newer.
5. Now you need to tell CCS to use the new code generator you downloaded and installed. To do so, start CCS. Click on Help > About > Component Manager. In “Component Manager” click the ‘+’ next to the CCS version you just installed. Then click ‘+’ next to “TMS320C28XX”, check the box next to the v5.0.x Code Generation Tools that you installed from 5). Choose File > Save and File > exit, and exit CCS.
6. If you previously installed VisSim/ECD, delete the file \vissim70\dsp\dosrun28.bat and install( or reinstall) VisSim/Embedded Controls Developer selecting F283x target support when prompted. The VisSim install will automatically find the new floating point code generator selected in step 6.
7. Start VisSim and select VisSim/DSP => F280x => DSP Config.... Ensure that F28335 is selected in the "CPU:" field, 150 MHz is the CPU freq, and check that the "JTAG connection:" field is set to the proper connection for your current set-up.
